This scheme is ill thought out and has been proposed as the cheapest possible solution to a very delicate problem in an area of world importance and significance. The tunnel must be made substantially longer in order to preserve the integrity of this renowned and sacred site. To risk destroying valuable archeological remains here would be a disgrace and would jeapordise our future further understanding of this national treasure. In short this scheme needs to be re-designed with a substantially lengthened tunnel.
