Stonehenge is a world heritage site. In many ways it is an icon of Britain. As such it needs to be cared for, and not made subject to the whims and fancies of the imaginary demands of infrastructure and financial gain. If changes are demanded, financial restriction should not apply, Stonehenge is a world treasure, and as a nation if we compromise it or the landscape in any way we are as stupid and shortsighted and money grabbing as any who cut down the rainforests. Stonehenge is a part of world history.
