Over the last 18 years I have followed the discussion about the changes to the A303 with interest. The current proposals will cause irreparable damage to the World Heritage Site, not only to the archaeology and the setting. A World Heritage Site is designated on the grounds that the place has 'universal significance'. Digging up the World Heritage site, adding the tunnel portals and the accompanying roadworks will change this significance.

Please listen to the advice of UNESCO and do not allow the scheme to progress in it's current form.
