I am objecting to the Stonehenge Expressway, as I believe it is an act of unacceptable vandalism. It will cause irreparable damage to the World Heritage Site, its archaeology and setting. In fact, UNESCO’s international advisers say the scheme should not go ahead in its present form.

I am also concerned that it will disturb rarer bird species, such as the Stone Curlew and Great Bustard, the latter which has only been recently re-introduced to Salisbury Plain.

It is imperative therefore that there is further consultation to identify practical alternative options that would not damage this precious site and protect it for future generations.
