I strongly object to the plans as they stand because it will have a strong negative impact on the rights of way network in the area. My hobby is exploring our wonderful country travelling only on ancient byways and small roads. The distances I travel and my advancing age mean that using a motorcycle is the best possible option for me. It allows me to travel on unpaved roads and see the countryside as it used to be in years gone by. I have ridden in this particular area in Salisbury for over thirty years. Others also enjoy this way of being in the countryside, and with regard to the tranquility of the WHS at this location, the number of trail riders passing by each day and the nature of modern bikes is such is that the impact will be negligible, particularly with the advent of electric bikes, and new technologies.
