I object to the proposed A303 Stonehenge as it will damage historic Stonehenge, a World Heritage Site, which should be preserved as it is one of Britain's oldest and most famous cultural treasures. The new proposed road would be too close to the site, and would therefore cause physical damage to the landscape and even threaten the stones with increased vibration during the construction and deployment stages; it will lead to increased noise disturbance; it will put further pressure on endangered wild birds in the region. Any new road should be constructed much further away, in a longer and deeper subterranean tunnel.
