I strongly object to A303 Stonehenge Expressway. The main reasons for my objection are: •According to all archaeology experts that I am aware of, the construction of this road will cause irreparable damage to the WHS, its archaeology and setting, described by UNESCO as a ‘landscape without parallel’ •UNESCO’s international advisers say the scheme should not go ahead in its present form •There are quite a number of concerns about damage to Blick Mead Mesolithic site and its setting •There are no alternative options in consultation that would not damage the World Heritage Site •Loss of the view from the road and need to pay to see the Stones in future •Disturbance of rare bird species (Stone Curlew and Great Bustard) •Increased noise from faster traffic and pollution THERE ARE NO JUSTIFICATIONS OF ANY NATURE TO THIS PROJECT WHICH IS BOTH UNNECESSARY AND SACRILEGIOUS!
