Stonehenge is a World Heritage Site, which in itself gives kudos to the tourist attraction remaining as is I'm very concerned that the extensive works would cause damage that would be irreparable to both the archaeology and the overall appearance of the stone formation, which in turn, sadly, would no longer be visible from the road.
1: I'm more than concerned about the irreparable damage to our renowned World
Heritage Site, especially as UNESCO state that the scheme shouldn't go ahead in its
present form, as well as alternative, less invasive options not being widely forthcoming.
2: Sadly, present plans would mean that we'd lose the opportunity to see Stonehenge
from the road, which means that some people would never get the opportunity to see
them if they had to pay to visit.
3: Another concern would be the road works, which in conjunction with the ensuing faster
traffic, bringing more noise, will more than likely disturb some of the rare birds that are
native to this area.
