I am extremely concerned about the ongoing highway construction works and planning upon the Stonehenge landscape. It risks immense damage to the preservation of the surrounding area, wildlife disturbance, and the history that still lies under the surface.

This area holds an incredible and profound history that greatly promotes England as a country with an important past, likening it to prominent archaeological sites like the Pyramids of Egypt. As such it deserves in every respect cautious preservation and an active interest and communication from experts in the field who have clearly spoken out against the developments underway. There are alternatives that should be considered.

I also don't agree that Stonehenge should be hidden from roadside view, only allowing it to be seen by paid entry. There must be other ways to increase funds, if those responsible in financing are concerned. I believe it is important to allow Stonehenge to be a visible, and not prevent those with lower incomes to see this important World Heritage Site.
