Having lived in Wiltshire for many years from the 1970s, I enjoyed the opportunities to visit Stonehenge and give my children an interest in history. Sadly, over the years, access to Stonehenge became more difficult (no longer able to be close to the stones) and expensive. It is a shame that our heritage is being dismantled in the name of ‘improvements’...seems to me that the sight of Stonehenge on the plain is worth more than extra money going into money coffers. Stonehenge managed to survive without interference and does not need restructuring in the area....stop destroying its uniqueness and mystery.
