I object to this scheme on the basis that it is very likely to destroy the unexplored wider environment of the stones. As the years go by more and more evidence is unearthed on the context of the stones and their relationship with both the local and wider British population of the time. This is not just a pile of stones that attracts visitors from around the world it is part of the jigsaw of Neolithic life, an irreplaceable part of our heritage. Other parts of the world are exploring their past, this would destroy undiscovered parts of ours.
