The plans for new road construction will interfere with and probably destroy forever the amenity and archaeological heritage of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Stonehenge plus nearby prehistoric sites of great significance. Furthermore the proposed construction is of low value as commutes by road need to be massively disincentivised due to the need to vastly reduce emissions and fossil fuel consumption to combat climate catastrophe. What''s left of England''s green and pleasant land is far more valuable, not only to humans but the whole biosphere. Furthermore it has been abundantly proven over the last decades that building more roads does NOT reduce congestion.
