I object to the proposals for the A303 Stonehenge for the following reasons:

-- The plans in their current form will irreversibly damage and degrade the Stonehenge World Heritage Site, having a significant negative impact on its internationally renowned archaeological value. This includes Blick Mead. -- There will be significant harm caused to the natural environment, both flora and fauna and including rare bird species that should be protected. -- People's ability to enjoy both the natural landscape and the archaeology will be drastically limited, partly by the increased traffic noise and light pollution, and partly by the loss of the view of Stonehenge from the road. -- The plans as they stand have no support from UNESCO, or from UK archaeologists and historians. -- Objections from concerned groups have not been properly addressed or responded to, and there should be additional consultation on alternative options. -- There has not been sufficient consideration of the complexity of the Stonehenge landscape's value (non-monetary) and significance. This is not just a road and transport matter, and in order to resolve the issue, all of the above must be taken into account and adequately consulted on.
