Friends of Coldwater champions sacred landscapes, especially in this time of climate chaos when populations are being threatened with change too vast and quick to accommodate peaceful human response. Coldwater Springs in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is an ancient sacred site, a 10,000-year-old natural water source, currently an acknowledged Dakota Sacred Site where the water flow has been cut from 130,000 gallons per day down to 66,000 gallons per day since the year 2000 by development, specifically by road and transit construction. The rights of nature are violated at people's peril for we are subject to natural forces, we are just another species, most of which have come and gone on earth. We best note our time and place in the world and arrange our present with an eye to the future.
