Stonehenge is one of this country's most important Neolithic archaeological sites - and one of its most mysterious. New information about the origins and purpose of Stonehenge has been discovered through archaeology as recently as 2009, and there is certainly more to find. The planned tunnel will almost certainly destroy important archaeological sites, robbing us forever of the chance to understand these ancient stones. This is too important a national treasure to lose like this.
