I have been following this application with horror. I understand the need to.improve traffic flow in the Stonehenge area but the current plans are simply wrong. Some years sgo I studied prehistory, mediaeval history and archaeology to degree level and have remained passionately interested in landscape history.

We have the responsibility to safeguard historic monuments and landscapes for future generations. Stonehenge abd its associated landscape is our most iconic treasure. Current plans will alter the landscape irrevocably. I am particularly concerned about Blick Mead, a Mesolithic site about which we know so little.

This is my personal view but I note that UNESCO and many archaeologists share my concerns. There is time to rethink plans and I urge you to do so - or resign yourselves to be counted as C21st century vandals.
