Although I am not a local, the site is obviously of national and global significance.

The possibility of damage (which, in fact, has already occurred) to the surrounding site, which is of equal archaeological importance to that of Stonehenge, is not balanced by any of the purported advantages of the proposed tunnel.

With the development of non-destructive methods in archaeology, it is ever more important that sites of international cultural significance are not disturbed for transient commercial interest.
