I am very concerned by the potential damage done to a unique World Heritage Site: one of the jewels in the United Kingdom's crown. As technology enables new, non-invasive methods of archaeological exploration, it is crucial that this environment is left undisturbed, allowing further discoveries and research. The area attracts interest worldwide, from both tourists and academics. Would it not be very short-sighted to diminish its impact, purely for the sake of convenience? Do we, in fact, have the right? The disturbance of rare species of bird, eg the Stone Curlew and Great Bustard, is also a worrying issue.
