I consider that the proposed changes to the highways in the vicinity of Stonehenge and across the World Heritage Site will cause irreparable damage to the WHS, its archaeology and setting, described by UNESCO as a ‘landscape without parallels.

I am aware that UNESCO’s international advisers say the scheme should not go ahead in its present form and I concur with this view. I also have major concerns about damage to Blick Mead Mesolithic site and its setting.

It is disturbing that there are a lack of alternative options in consultation that would not damage the World Heritage Site. Additionally, there will be a loss of the view from the road and need to pay to see the Stones in future. I consider that the scheme as proposed will disturb wildlife, including rare bird species (Stone Curlew and Great Bustard).

I consider there will be increased noise from faster traffic.
