- site should be preserved without disturbance for future generations how can we justify the irreparable damage That will be caused to its archaeology and setting, described by UNESCO as a ‘landscape without parallel’!
- why are we even thinking of doing this if UNESCO’s international advisers say the scheme should not go ahead in its present form
- Concerns about damage to Blick Mead Mesolithic site and its setting
- Lack of alternative options in consultation that would not damage the World Heritage Site
- Loss of the view from the road and need to pay to see the Stones in future
- Disturbance of rare bird species (Stone Curlew and Great Bustard)
- Increased noise from faster traffic
