I object to the building of the A303 expressway by Stonehenge. It will dwarf the world renowned and protected world heritage site. This expressway would and will cause untold and irreparable damage to to it's archaeology and setting, described by UNESCO as a ‘landscape without parallel. UNESCO’s own international advisers say the scheme should not go ahead in its present form. The site needs to be protected for future generations. Lack of alternative options in consultation that would not damage the World Heritage Site

People would be prevented from seeing Stonehenge as they pass which can be a highlight of their journey (I always look forward to passing it) and would be forced to pay to see the site. This could also stop people spontaneously visiting the site as they pass, which would impact income.

Disturbance of rare bird species (Stone Curlew and Great Bustard). These birds need protection from the damage caused by the A303 expressway.

I would hope you make the right decision to protect Stonehenge and stop the A303 expressway.
