I am very concerned to hear about the proposals for the area around Stonehenge. The damage that this would cause to the environement and wildlife at Stonehenge would be devistating. Once these changes have taken place it is impossible to ever return the area back to the way it was. The cost to the environment and wildlife would be a big loss to the people of England. We have already lost a lot of the country to various other factors which we can never get back. It is unfortunate that there are so many more cars and people using the English road system now and it looks like this will only get worse. However, as a person of England who has many ancestors who have lived and loved England before me, building more roads at the cost of the environment and wildlife is not the way forward. We all need to take a stand to stop the destruction and damage being done for the good of oursleves and the future people of England. Stonehenge is a sacride place and we need to respect the land the way it needs to be respected. The Italians would not want things to be done in Rome which would destroy the beauty of the place. We need to do what is right for the environment and wildlife and not just do what is right for the cars which unfortunately are in the world that we now inhabit.
