I object the currently proposed A303 Expressway expansion due to the following reasons:

  1. There will be physical harm (akin to vandalism, is it wasn't approved) to the Stonehenge World Heritage Site, which would impact forever its landscape and its archaeology, and even UNESCO states that the landscape (which was chosen by the builders on purpose) is 'without parallel'.

  2. UNESCO's international advisers themselves states that the expansion should not be going ahead as it is, and therefore it is imperative to halt the plans as they are.

  3. There has already been done some irreparable damage to the Blick Mead Mesolithic site, and further expansion would damage it and its surroundings. This is extremely concerning that it has already taken place, and gives further extremely worrying precedents as to what will happen if the plans go as-is.

  4. The rare Stone Curlew and Great Bustard would be highly disturbed by the current plans, and again this shows that it shouldn't go ahead as-is.

  5. Not only will cars be driving faster and thus be more noisy and more numerous, but people will no longer be able to view Stonehenge from the road, and therefore, it will make the UNESCO site pretty much a "pay-only" view.

  6. Finally, alternative options that would not impact nor damage the World Heriate Site AND its surroundings and ecosystem should be given plenty of consideration and further researched, as the current plan do not take into account all of the above, and for that reason alone, common sense dicates an re-evaluation is needed.

Please, we have the chance to conserve, upkeep and protect what has been passed down from our ancient Fathers to our future Children, please I urge you to not endanger and damage this legacy and this one of a kind in the world ancient site to satisfy what seems to be the easiest procedure at this time.

Thank you
