I consider the tunneling process to be a damaging act on a world heritage site. It's rationale is unclear and against the wishes of UNESCO. I do not agree with English heritage that covering the road will return the site to some normality, the site sits in its own history. Money could be better spend improving the rail infrastructure to the southwest. If this goes through it will show the corruption that runs through these organisations and the DFT willingness to pander to it.
