How can we seriously consider a major road building project on a world heritage site in such a way that will render its surrounding archaeological heritage compromised. It sets a dangerous precedent for the future of all ‘rotected’ sites both in the U.K. and world wide, that our heritage can be bought off for the sake of a short term gain; and let’s face it, whatever is built now will need future expansion and development, whatever apologists May claim.
