Irreparable damage to the World Heritage Site (WHS), its archaeology is precious and archeology is found beneath the surface the tunnel will destroy it and the wider landscape has not been ‘worked’ by archaeologist yet. It will be lost for all time. The entire landscape , described by UNESCO as a ‘landscape without parallel’ must not be lost to the world. We are guardians only for future generations. UNESCO’s international advisers say the scheme should not go ahead in its present form Serious concerns have arisen about damage to Blick Mead Mesolithic site and its landscape setting. Serious lack of alternatives in the consultation process that would not damage the World Heritage Site. Loss of the view of this incredibly important WHS from the road therefore the need for all to pay to see the Stones in future, local government must represent all. Disturbance of rare bird species. In short, no tunnel should be considered at all ,find another solution.
