I strongly object to the construction of the stone henge tunnel and flyover, for the following reasons. 1 I am concerned about further damage to the Blick Mead mesolithic site, which has already been danaged when highways england drilled through a 6000 year old platform, which preserved the hoofprints of Aurochs. Preservation and protection of this ancient and unique site would be threatened by the current plans for a tunnel and flyover, specificially as their construction may cause the water level to drop, which will lead to deteoriation of ancient organic renains, which are currently being preserved. 2 I am also concerned about the impact of major works, on the rare bird population of the area. Specificially Stone Curlew and Geat Bustard. 3 I do not believe that the current plan for a tunnel and flyover gives adequate consideration to the preservation and protection of the above stated.
