I am very concerned at the possibility of damage to one of our iconic historical sites, and have read that UNESCO’s international advisers say the scheme should not go ahead in this way. . The application in its current form will cause irreparable damage to the WHS, its archaeology and setting, described by UNESCO as a ‘landscape without parallel I am also very much against any damage at all to Blick Mead Mesolithic site and its setting. I do not think all possibilités have been explored, including the distinct possibility that cars and our travel in its present form are going to have to change radically in response to climate change and the solution on the table is likely to be see as a very old fashioned one in years to come.
