Dear Sir/Madam,

I am very interested to register as an interested Party to object to the A303 Stonehenge Expressway. I believe it is the least I can do on a personal level to prevent the damage that will take place if this project carries through.

I have visited Stonehenge on various occasions and I have really admired its beauty and magnificence. In Greece we have very beautiful sites as well but Stonehenge is really special. Visiting the site is like travelling in time.

A major highway will alter the ancient feeling of the site; I am afraid Stonehenge will never be the same. The sounds from the cars will disturb its peace and visitors will have a hard time appreciating the beauty of the site.

I am very surprised that expert advice has not yet prevented the Expressway from being built. The impact, from what I understand, will have a negative effect not only on the beauty of the archaeological site but also, more importantly, it has the potential of causing irreparable damage. The Blick Mead site is proof that damage is very likely to occur. The risk is too great.

The Stonehenge site is the world's heritage and we have a moral duty to do anything we can to preserve it for future generations. I sincerely hope it is not too late to avoid any further road developments.

Yours Faithfully,

Christos Grapsas
