These plans for an expressway so close to Stonehenge will create irreparable damage to this World Heritage Site, its archaeology and setting, and described by UNESCO as a ‘landscape without parallel’. Even Unesco's advice has been to say the scheme should not go ahead in its present form. There are many concerns, which include:

  1. Concerns about damage to Blick Mead Mesolithic site and its setting
  2. Lack of alternative options in consultation that would not damage the site
  3. Loss of the view from the road & in the general landscape
  4. intentions to make people pay even more to this Henge in the future
  5. Disturbance of rare bird species such as Stone Curlew and Great Bustard, but also a lot of the small critters habitat live in the area.
  6. Increased noise from faster traffic which disrupts the overall meaning and sense of this site which was chosen by our Ancestors as a SACRED SITE, and would be absolute proof that 20th & 21st century road planning & traffic management is not wholistic or eco-friendly and shows total disregard for historical meaning & context of this area in a religious, symbolic and sacred way.
