Stone Henge is a world heritage site and should be protected from damage from vehicles passing close by and from vibrations caused by lorries. Not to mention traffic pollution. This also includes the Blick Mead Mesolithic site and its setting. I understand that UNESCO’s international advisers have also protested about this scheme.

I would like to see alternatives to this proposal which would have no impact on this iconic landscape.

There is also the problem of potential disastrous disturbances to rare bird species such as the Stone Curlew and the Great Bustard.
