Stone Henge is a World Heritage Site and together with Avebury is one of the most mysterious sites in the world. Placing such an iconic site at risk of damage, even unintentional, is unforgivable. Removing the old A344 in 2013 was to be celebrated as returning the site to nearer it's original surroundings has brought it and the public's interest to life again. We have been protecting the site knowledgeably since 1978 and should not relinquish this absolute requirement, ever!
