The new planned A303 Expressway and tunnel will destroy the current Stonehenge landscape, making the ancient stones look insignificant. It will also damage the Blick Mead Mesolithic site. There has been no constructive alternative suggestion to road problems that would not damage the site. With the proposed development, it would no longer be possible to see the stones from the road, and anyone wanting to visit would have to pay. The landscape will be changed substantially. Stonehenge is not just famous in UK, it is world famous and as such, the UK is responsible for preserving it for the world, and should make sure that it is preserved in its current landscape.
