Any tunnel should be of sufficient length to avoid any ground breaking within the WHS. It is particularly concerning that the proposed design will cause damage to a mesolithic site. Furthermore, the recent changes that EH have made to managed open access to Stonehenge are a cause for concern due to the way they are increasingly attempting to utiluse the WHS for monetary gain by restricting access. The hidden A303 was less of a concern 5 years back, but recent actions suggest that a monopoly on access is a main objective, and the WHS should not be commoditised in this way.
