I wish to add my name to the representations regarding alterations to the area around Stonehenge. The stones are not the only historic artefacts at risk. The surrounding landscape still has much to give with further archeological work using ever expanding knowledge from evolving methods of analysis.
Stonehenge is such an iconic place, loved by those who do not even understand its significance. There are alternative plans and better minds than mine have devised ways to achieve the aims of the Examining Authority without the devastation and destruction which threaten if existing plans are pushed through.
Please consider all alternatives from those of us who care deeply about our ancient monuments and particularly such mystical and evocative places such as Stonehenge.
