I object vehemently to the proposal for the A303 at Stonehenge. It has already been stated that the works necessary for completion and the proposed traffic load will cause irreparable damage to this World Heritage Site, its fragile archaeology and the natural setting as it is described by UNESCO as a ‘landscape without parallel’. As stated in their report, UNESCO’s international advisers have said that the proposed scheme should not go ahead in its present form - if it must go ahead, alternative plans should be made and presented to the public in order to ensure that this beautiful HERITAGE LISTED site remains intact and preserved for future generations.
