I object strongly to the proposed development of the infrastructure surrounding the UNESCO Worl Heritage Site at Stonehenge. This is a dreadful and poorly conceived plan, that will cause huge damage to the archaeological and historic fabric of this part of rural England. The proposed plans will impact the Black Mead Mesolithic site, and will cost millions for very little advantage. The development would mean that the view of Stonehenge from the road would be lost, leaving travelers impoverished culturally, and no alternatives have been offered. I therefore wish my objections to be taken into account to prevent what amounts to state sponsored vandalism.
