The landscape and setting of the World Heritage site Stonehenge is unique. The proposed development of the A303 would irreparably damage the visual setting of not only Stonehenge but also other monuments, many which are Designated Scheduled, too. As a country which relies so heavily on tourism and it's creditability as an international leader in the preservation of its heritage the message acceptance of this proposal would send to the rest of the world is deplorable. And whilst I use and am inconvenienced by restrictions of the A303 at Stonehenge often I object to this proposal in the strongest terms.
