Stonehenge (and Avebury) is an iconic feature in the British landscape, which I have enjoyed for the past 35years, while driving past it or visiting the site with friends and family. Altering the landscape and 'hiding' Stonehenge is almost blasphemous to our ancestors and the history of this great site and land. It belongs to all of us and needs to be preserved as it is. Because once the landscape has been altered we will have lost a great part of our history. It will never be the same and can never be undone. I cannot express enough how offensive such a development is.
