I object to the building of a tunnel near Stonehenge, because it is a timeless national and world heritage site which should not be subject to the whims of the present government policy. The proposal would cause inestimable damage to archaeological remains and could destroy findings which could be investigated with new techniques in the future. The view from the road at present is unique and historically significant. The potential damage to the Blik Mead site is unacceptable. Also potential dangers to the public travelling in an enclosed tunnel is not sensible.
