I feel very strongly that the landscape around Stonehenge sheds light on the monument's context and is part of the whole heritage of the world famous earthworks itself.

To build the proposed dual carriageway and tunnel so close to the henge would not only dwarf the prehistoric monument, but would also destroy part of the age old landscape and with it perhaps other vital clues as to the essence of the site.

In future our children and those from around the world will probably not thank us if we go ahead with the current proposed scheme. Please don't approve of the tunnel and dual carriageway scheme as currently proposed for the A303.

Sincerely, Linda Mallett
