It seems obvious that a one lane road that passes a rare national heritage site should be extended to 2 lanes thereby not causing traffic congestion. This has happened throughout the country. Motorways have appeared with 4 lines i.e. the M4. So if roads can be widened to accommodate more traffic why is this simple measure not being taken. So the surrounding countryside, the setting for stonehenge is respected.
