I am registering to become an Interested Party to take part in the Examination of the above application for development consent which has been submitted to the Planning Inspectorate. My reasons for this are driven by my concerns regarding the potential permanent damage to the World Heritage Site, its archaeology and setting.

Where UNESCO's advisers say the scheme should not go ahead in its present form due to concerns about damage to Blick Mead Mesolithic site and its setting and my opinion that there has been insufficient investigation into alternative options that would not damage the World Heritage Site in the consultation. I am also significantly concerned regarding the disturbance of rare bird species, specifically the recently re-introduced Great Bustard. Indeed I feel it is very short-sighted to overlook the significant amount of work that has been undertaken to re-introduce this particular species successfully in our country.
