I am writing to express serious objection to the plans to build a dual carriageway through the UNESCO World Heritage Site around Stonehenge. The area is one of unique archaeological and ritual importance, which is by no means restricted the known monuments.

While I understand that budget is a constraint, given the high stakes I am shocked that the consultation lacks alternative options that would not damage the World Heritage Site. It's almost unbelievable that this plan has come so far without anyone recognising the severe and permanent damage it will do to one of the most significant prehistoric ritual landscapes in the world.

Please register my representation, which is one of objection to the proposed scheme.
