While I recognise that the 303 is an important traffic corridor to the SW of England (which I avoid as much as possible), this attempted solution does not seem to be proceeding with due consideration of all concerns. We have already heard of damage to the World Heritage Site's archaeology, and I am unconvinced this will improve the internationally-recognised landscape. In fact, I hear that UNESCO’s international advisers do not think the scheme should not go ahead in its present form! It seems to me there has been a lack of alternative options in consultation that would better preserve the World Heritage Site, and as a concerned citizen with an interest in history and heritage I do not want to see this outstanding area ruined for future generations.
