Among many reasons for my objecting to this proposal are:

Irreparable damage to this World Heritage Site, its archaeology and setting, described by UNESCO as a ‘landscape without parallel’;

UNESCO’s international advisers say the scheme should not go ahead in its present form;

There are seriuous concerns about damage to Blick Mead Mesolithic site and its setting;

A lack of alternative options in consultation that would not damage the site;

Loss of the view from the road and the need for visitors to pay to see the Stones in future;

Disturbance of rare bird species (Stone Curlew and Great Bustard);

Increased noise from faster traffic.
