Salmon & Trout Conservation UK (S&TC UK) was established in 1903 as the Salmon & Trout Association. Having gained charitable status in 2008, we are now the only UK fisheries charity that openly campaigns for the protection, conservation and sustainable management of an aquatic environment capable of supporting abundant fish species, invertebrates, animals and plant life - from source to sea.

We support the representation by the Wiltshire Fisheries' Association.

In addition, we are concerned that, given the levels of phosphate and sediment in the Avon and its tributaries are already at elevated levels in excess of regulatory targets, the proposed work does not make existing ecological worse. We have significant evidence of existing ecological harm which we will provide to the Examination.
