Hello ... Stonehenge and the surrounded site are an ancient and protected area.. They should remain so as one of the oldest and most pre-eminent archeological sites in the UK ..
We have already seen the same things happen (with no necessary reason) through the middle of Aylesbury.
Surely in all the surrounding land there has to be a better route?
There is so much land surrounding the hedge of less importance historically or has less meaning to many, many people.
Although I don't practice this also waves the religious rights of people who are practicing pagans and other religions.. The same thing proposed through Westminster Abbey or such a site.. Through an important Mosque or Gudwarah would cause outcry and rightly so.
In honestly though I just cannot believe there cold be plans to further desecrate such an important piece of our history.
