This is an outrageous disruption and destruction of pre historic land and it’s many secrets. It will certainly not affect the visitor numbers or experience of Stonehenge, as we were there recently and not one person took any notice of the road, and for a ‘quiet’ (according to the staff) day, it was extremely busy with visitors. I have yet to meet a person from Salisbury who thinks that it would be a good idea. The money spent on this stupidity would be better spent on other road projects around Salisbury. If you have to have a road around it all. Why not take it around Salisbury plain therefor bypassing the villages that are the bottle neck.
