I would like to express my object to this proposal.
It would bring traffic much closer to the stone circle than has previously been the case, something that concerns heritage groups.
Another issue with this proposal is that the road risks damaging as-yet undiscovered archaeological features. In December, the drilling of a hole through a 6,000-year-old feature near Stonehenge, in preparation for the tunnel, was condemned by archaeologists. This demonstrates the scope for further damage if the project were to proceed.
